Because we have created technology that moves faster than we do, and we are trying to keep up with it. It is an impossible task.

People want action, money, love, employment, joy quicker. They want it now. Food? Now. Money? Now. Love? Now. You gotta move to achieve. People want to go for the gold and leave others behind. Life is fast cause' you make it fast. If you want to live on a farm and shuck corn all day, you still can. It is up to you how fast your life passes before your eyes. Or how slow.

I think it's the amazing level of background noise in our lives.
And we layer it too ... listening to our ipod while on the computer with the television on.
Want to slow down? Unplug your comp, tv, radio and telephone -- it's surprising how much time you suddenly have and wonderful how you decide to fill that time!
So, it seems fast because on different levels we are monitoring a lot of things all at the same time.

Because of the technology. Everything done faster and easier. People have no patience anymore,they want it fast,quick,today,no make that yesterday

Because that is the speed you are in right now. In todays world, everything is about efficient and effectiveness. If you are slow, you will realize that you are not even compatible to live your daily life.
The world had advanced to such a stage that it is beyond control.

It's because technical evolution is moving at a much faster pace than social evolution. Humanity is being ground to glass.

1. everyone is running after money.
2.competetion is more in every field
3.its human nature to be always the first.

not sure if it is any faster now than how life was 100 years ago, that is if you compare life 100 years ago with respect to life 200 years ago!
