We live in separate states. I am ordered to pay support but have no way of contacting him. His girlfriend gave me a bogus number at the hearing. The attorney generals office won't give me his phone number or address because of client confidentiality. I CAN'T CONTACT HIM OR FIND OUT HOW ANYWHERE.What should I do?

You need to write a letter to the court explaining that you cannot find your ex-to-be in order to pay child support. (It's better if your attorney does it.)

I'm going to assume this is a child support issue....

Contact the DA in the county where the trial was held. They should then be able to direct you to the appropriate Child Support agency with a case number. Contact them and ask them for the amount due and the address to send the payments.

Your payments will go to the Child Support Agency and they will forward the payments to the custodial parent. You don't have to know the address and/or phone number of the custodial parent unless you have vistitation rights.

Hope this helps and good luck.

If you are trying to contact him to pay the support, explain ot the attorney generals office that you need a number in order to pay the support and if they cannot provide you with the number, you will not be paying the support. Simple as that.

If he has an attorney and you had one and you have to pay support then I would contact his attorney and let him/her know that you will be paying support to him...now you can also open up a case with the D.A. in your state and have them directly take the money out of your account and they will find him for you...I do hope that its spousal support and not child support...why would you allow your kids to leave you? I would hope not for another man! I dont care how much more money a man makes a child should always be with their mother...I hope all goes well with you...

set up an account and make payments into the account. let his attorney know that you are making payments into the account but dont give the attorney the information. he will tell your husband or you can just work something out with the attorney so that you dont get in trouble for not paying support.....good luck :)

Most places have you pay through the courts, so I doubt they will give his place of residence.
I would pay it directly to the court so there is no way he can say you didn't pay.
Is this spousal support, if not, you should know where he is so you can talk to your kids.

Take him to court and say they are not allowing you contact with your children. no matter what pay your child support don't punish the kids because their dad is a jerk.

place any court ordered funds into a escrow account. contact the court and state that you have made good faith attempts at contacting him. (be prepared to document those attempts) then just wait and see.
