Don't douche. It's going to hurt your chances all together. My advice really is just to have sex every day, twice a day. That's how I got my boy. I know for a fact I had sex a few hours before ovulation (because I felt the pains after wards) and two weeks later I found out I was pregnant. Good luck!

I've heard of using alkaline douches for sex determination. The problem is it doen't work, and it could actually make you less likely to get pregnant. So, don't douche!!!
and melissa b...the female egg is always an X chromosome...so actually it is the father's sperm that determines the sex.(X+X= girl X+Y=boy)

Male sperm (for ease of identification) swim slower than female sperm. So, the deeper the penetration the higher the odds of having a boy. The theory is that you even the odds since the farther the sperm have to swim to get to the egg the better the odds that a female will get there first.
There were some products on the market that used that theory and you would put the sperm in a jelly like substance. Then the faster "female" sperm would be in the bottom and the slower male sperm would still be at the top. I don't know if anyone ever used it.

Never heard of it, but if it's a boy you're after, try drinking a lot of coffee. All mine, conceived in winter while I was drinking coffee all day, were boys. The girls, during spring and summer while I was drinking water or juices. Must be something to it.

Lockerridge - the father alone doesn't determine the sex of the baby. It's the mother's AND the father's chromosomes that determine the sex....

it is not for anything. it will not get a baby boy or girl. the father is the one who determines the sex of the baby when it is conceived. you can do nothing to change the way it comes out. sorry.
