70-80% or higher only the naively religious by and large that don't thinks I. Incidental Maureensperformance is wrong, evolution is only a theory but a good one. There is no proof of it but then there is no proof of the theory of Gravity for that matter.

um, it's not something you believe in. It's a proven scientific fact. Anyone who doesn't recognize evolution is just ignorant. There is no reason that one has to be an athiest to understand evolution. I believe in God and still understand that he guided evolution. Not believing in evolution is like not believing that we need oxygen to survive. Completely ridiculous and totally wrong.

The latest information I have indicates that 80-90% of the developed world (Japan, Europe...) accepts evolution as sound science. However only 35-40% of the U.S. accepts it.
