I got a tattoo on my ankle. It's a heart being drawn with a pen. I love the heart, but the pen came out stupid. No one can tell it's a pen. I can't afford to have it removed, but thought if I could change the pen to something else, it would look better.

The pen is an old-fashioned style ink pen, in black, and is drawn at an angle with the tip ending at the heart. It's about two inches long. I don't want to mess with the heart.

Something meaningful and positive is preferred - i.e., no skeletons, no "ozzy rules" (he may rule, but I don't want it on my ankle), not something funny.

Any suggestions?

i'm not sure exactly what it looks like. but i ahve an image in my head... and what if you were to turn it into some sort of garland... wrap it around the ankle and turn the heart into an "anklette".
you could possibly turn it into soemthing that is dear toyour heat.. liek soem sort of bird, or flower coming/growing out of the heart ro symbolise the love you have for that object.
not really sure. it'd be easier to help if you had an image online that we coudl see.
Best of luck tho, i how know you feel. i need to have one fixed as well... i had JOY put on my back, and the tattoo artist put some pink behind it liek i asked, but the way he did it.. it looks like graffitti... and i jsut wanted a suttle glow of pink... so i'm gonna add more colors and turn it into a sun around the word.

I would go to a local tattoo artist and discuss it with them.. some artist specialize in coverups... I am sure they could do something and leave the heart alone... I kinda like the idea of turning it into an anklet.. depending on how it needed to be done, that would be pretty.. good luck...

see if the pen can be reworked into a quill pen - unless that's what you mean by an "old-fashioned style ink pen".

Other than that, I'd go see a pro and see what suggestions he/she has for a cover up. :)

Good luck!

Sorry, you made the decision, you took a risk, it looks bad and now you gotta live with it. Sorry. Good Luck.

Try talking to one of the artist and they can defiantly give you some good ideas on what to change it to and then make it happen.
