this happens to me several times. there's also this guy that has been introduced to me, and we said hello as an acknowledgment of each other's presence, but the next time around, the guy seems to feel awkward with me... and would seem hesitant to even look at me straight in the eye when i speak to him... it's like he's hiding something, or did something terrible against me... i don't know...

I know that you say his starring is not in a stalker way, but if this guy keeps starring at you but not trying to actually meet you and get your number, you need to be careful. I am glad that you like him, but that does not mean that something is not wrong. My life experience has taught me that when people stare to much, that there may be something mental going on. Get to know this person before you decide that you like him and want to get to know him better. Good Luck

It could be that the guy is very nervous after your first conversation. He is wondering if you are talking to him because you like him or because you feel obligated to him since you had spoken before.
He may like you and don't want you to know, because then he is open to your judgement.
He may just be shy, and wants you as a friend, but nothing more. His looking you straight in the eye would give you an idea of his true feelings.
He may be afraid to open up to you, possibly because you may be his first love. They are always the ones who hurt the worst when things don't work out. He doesn't want to hurt you after loving you.

I used to do that before I got something called self-confidence. I can talk to any girl just fine but years ago I was shy about it.
It means he is interested, but possibly too shy to really start a conversation with you!
If you are interested in him, next time you catch him looking flash him a quick smile, and see if he comes over to talk with you.
If he is still shy, go up to him and start a conversation! :D

They may be intimidated by your beauty and or self confidence. Looks like you may want seek out guys who are a little more confident and aggressive. But you wont have to search far, those type will find you and leave no doubt that they are interested. Good luck!

A guy will look away to pretend he's not staring at you. It means he thinks you're attractive but he's trying not to bother you. I think the guy you mentioned specifically is shy, but he certainly thinks you're attractive or he wouldn't be shy around you.

It means he's weak. He doesn't have enough testosterone to challenge a woman or is totally oblivious to the staring power that women possess.

That guy may like you or have some interest in you. But he doesn't want you to know it. So when you look at him and see him looking at you he turns quickly. Why? He doesn't want you to see him looking at you(checking you out).

he could like you but be shy. Or, he could not like you and be afraid of giving you accidental signs so he looks away. Boths ways its because hes nervous. I know because i sometimes do the latter.

Guys get shy. Also, if you are pretty, they probably know that lots of guys are looking at you, so they don't want to be rude.
