Yeah classic swords and sandals epic. I've watched it a few times now, and saw it at the movies when it first came out.
Especially love the opening battle scene, it depicts the chaos of war very welll.
Ollie Reeds scenes as the gladiator trainer/owner were very funny - his casting added a much needed depth of character to the whole production. The folm gets a 3.5 toga rating from me!

I think it's a great film despite Russell Crow.
Joaquin Phoenix & Oliver Reed gave great Performances, and the soundtrack is very atmospheric and draws you in.
I watch it just for the great scenery, cinematography and music, if nothing else.

I loved it, I watched it loads of times cause I couldn't get enough of Russell Crowe in Gladiator gear!!!

I enjoyed the film. Russel Crowe was excellent in it and another reason I liked the movie, it was Oliver Reeds last movie. He was an excellent British actor.

It's ok. I have only watched it once all the way through myself, but the rest of my family really like it and even watched it twice at the cinema when it was first released. I think my brother owns the soundt track as well.

It's a good film. The stroy was epic, it had happy, sad and funny moments. Overall good film.

It was good and I was surprised. The storyline was so good and I did not see it for a long time as I thought it was just gonna be some "macho" type thing.

Great movie. Give me a movie set in medieval/ancient times with lots of war and/or violence...hard to go wrong
