in my case i'd pick family because they should stick with you no matter what and friends are ususally not as close as family. You've known your family longer than any friend. But friends are nice to have as long as you know that your friends are on your side. Friends sometimes go against you which stinks. But family will usually be on your side and treat you as you should be treated.

Family, because I can never see them enough. Friends are wonderful, but sometimes you can see them weekly and that would be enough, Family is something I could see everyday and never have enough time with them! I love them both, but I live farther away from my family than friends!

right now, i'd say family, cause my family is all over the world and i haven't seen my nieces and nephews, and i wish we can all sit around the dining table one more time :-)
