There is no way the NFL would move the game to mid season. The owners would never let it happen they have to much invested in players. You would be putting the season at risk for a lot of teams. Secondly how would you decide who gets to play in the game, are they going to be judged on the first 6 weeks of the season, or will they be voted by the fans. Which would really foul up the system. They have to be judged by their body of work for the majority of the season. Remember the road to Canton goes through Hawaii.

I cannot see the NFL Pro Bowl being played during the mid season like All Star Games are played for leagues such as Major League Baseball and the National Basketball Associaton. Because the Pro Bowl is played in Hawaii, it would be too difficult to get players there who play on the east coast of the United States and it would be difficult to select players because players during the season do have other committments other than football. Finally, the Pro Bowl is played in Hawaii which does not have Professional Football so it gives the Aloha State a chance to see professional football at the end of the season after the Super Bowl and if the Pro Bowl was played in November, you probably could not have Thanksgiving Games in Dallas and Detroit.

The NFL season is way too short to have a mid-season Pro-Bowl, let alone too risky. The pro-bowl is meaningless as it does not decide who gets home field advantage, like the MLB.
To further answer the question - STATS are meant to be used towards the end of the season. A player can have a horrible first half, but really excel in the 2nd.
Here is an example of why the Pro-Bowl cannot be mid-season:
Peyton Manning, throws for 3,000 yrds, 17 TD's in the first half, 2 interceptions, 101.2 QB rating....elected to the Pro-Bowl. After the Pro-Bowl, he totally loses it, throws interceptions, gets sacked, throws for 1,200 yrds. and a mere 9 TD's, with a QB rating of 54.2.... , yet he was in the Pro-Bowl.
Definately NOT happening.

It would be an interesting twist to the season, I think it's a great idea that the NFL should throw around. The Pro Bowl game isn't taken too seriously and the players love to have fun during the game so injuries are possible but not likely.
So yes I would like to see this happen

In respone to the deciding where the SB will be thing (as no one has touched on it), that's improbable as the destination is planed out YEARS in advance. The Super Bowl is bigger than the championships of any other sport (football players play when it counts, they don't need any 4/7 games crap that baseball or basketball need). You can't plan it in 8 weeks.

base ball is so long of seasons though by the end of the year there to pooped out unlike baseball, football is only 16 games so every one is good still at the end of the year so there should not be one in the middle of the year

No cause the risk of injury in football would be too great. And no one wants their stars to get hurt mid-season.

The Pro Bowl is a joke. They should just do away with it.

I don't think so. Teams would not want to unnecessarily risk their star players to injury in the middle of the season.

no. football isn't like baseball; it's a relatively short season and it's a violent game - no one would ever let their star players participate.
they shouldn't even have a game, just a ceremony or something.
