A Subway Series is between the American League Champions New York Yankees and the National League Champions New York Mets. The Last Subway Series between the Yankees and the Mets was in 2000 and the Yankees won 4 games to 1.

I do not see a Subway Series happening in 2006 but if it does happen, I see the Mets winning the series 4 games to 2.

Yea, I can see a subway series this year. Yankees take the Mets in 5, maybe 6 games.

I don't see a Subway Series. I think the Mets won't get past the Dodgers or Cardinals. Their pitching is horrible. Glavine is unknown, Pedro is unknown, Traschel has a bunch of wins against bad teams, Hernandez is iffy at best. Their best pitcher is John Maines.

Mets are in a pathetic league. The Yankees Triple A team out of Columbus would give the Mets a run for their money. No national league team will put up much of a fight in the world series this year, unless its a total upset.

If there is a subway series. Yankees 4, Mets 0.

To thunder2sys: Have you been seeing the Mets play the last few days? The Cards are no match for the Mets. As far as a Subway Series, i see the Mets taking it in 6 games.

i dont see it happening because right now mets do not have enough starting pitching. The only starter they will be able to rely on is El Duque who has been clutch. If Pedro is acually healthy at some point and glavine is healthy they may have a chance. If it does reach a subway series Yankees will show them who owns the citys
And how can someone say mussina is their only decent starter? have you heard of a guy named Chein-ming Wang i mean damn the guy as 15 wins and a very respectable ERA. the only question mark their staff has is Johnson and if he can ever find consistency

I think there is a good possibility you will see the Yankees vs Mets.
I am a White Sox fan, the el, or subway runs past both Wrigley and Comiskey. That would by my dream subway series, but the Cubs? Are you kidding me?

I dont. I am a die hard Mets fan, and they will win the NLCS. It pains me to say this, but they arent a good enough team to beat the Tigers, who they will face in the WS. Tigers win in 7. Also, if the Yankees and Mets make the World Series, the Mets split the season series.

there is a very good chance. The Mets are best in the NL and the Yankees are the best in the AL. They both have to play good in the playoffs. Those dam Angels always give Yankees trouble so a note to rest of AL. Keep them out of playoffs!

the possibilities are rather good. you have a manner greater desirable danger of them 2 communities assembly then the different 2 communities in the postseason. i might say its a 50% danger that a subway sequence will ensue this postseason. I even have been predicting subway sequence because of the fact the initiating of the season, even previously the Yankees began coming near. needless to say, the Yankees will pull out a victory. Tom Glavine will no longer be able to stand up to a lineup like the Yankees have. bypass YANKEES

Afraid not. The Mets will do their part, but the Yankees are a too inconsistent, injury riddled team. It's not that we will have won the AL East; it's that the Soxs have lost it. The Yanks will not handle the Central winner in the playoffs.

Heh, I doubt it. The Yanks will only get out of the first round because they'll be facing the team from the West Coast. They'll be knocked out in the ALCS by the Tigers or twins, whichever they end up facing.

The Mets will win the NL Pennant, for lack of decent competition, but i don't see them winning more than 2 games in the Series, no matter who they face.
