It really depends on how you interpret the word soul mate.
If you define it as the person with whom you most closely connect on a spiritual level, gender and sexual orientation is of little to no concern. I'm sure plenty of guys and gals have same sex soul mates as well as happy, productive marriages to someone else. Is it possible to have more than one soul mate?
I tell you one thing I have learned over 52 years on this planet, when you are talking about human beings, anything is possible.

ABSOLUTLEY!!!! Why would you limit yourself to just the opposite sex......SEX is NOT involved when it comes to your so-called "soul mate". I consider myself lucky, I have 2 "soul mates" whom I consider to be my life partner....a friend who is there for you through thick and thin, who you look forward to talking to, sharing....just hanging out. I would tend not to consider the opposite sex (if you are a hetero) to be a "soul mate" since things can wither easily and when sex is involved it makes things a whole lot more difficult! Being someones "soul mate" has NOTHING to do with sex!!!!!!!! Once you get that silly notion out of your head it'll become clear!

Seek what really satisfies. While every human is unique, there is SOMETHING we all yearn for, knowingly or unknowingly. That something is PEACE in our lives. It is peace of mind that supercedes other yearnings. My answer to your question is: It is possible to find your soul-mate if and only if you live your life for what and who you are. Realizing what matters in life will surely connect you with a soul-mate that will bring genuine peace to your life whether you are a hetero, homo or any combination of those.

I think it is completely possible. It's difficult at first. You have to wrap your mind around the fact that you found your perfect partner in the same sex. After all the negative feelings are dealt with it's easy sailing from there. Trust me I know. I have been with my perfect person for about 6 years. She and I are wonderful together.

Your soul mate is God. He made you, and he wants you to love him
Why would you choose to be homosexual?
you could have friend's that are the same race. Not sexual, of course

yes there is such a thing as a sould mate and if you're heterosexual no your souldmate is not of the same sex. you'd obviously have to be physically attracted to your soul mate and if you're attracted to the same sex you're gay.
