For the past year and a half I have lived in my sisters house along with my brother, the situation there is getting worse no one wants to take responsiblity for them selves, as far as cleaning and so forth, with the presence of a dog, makes the problem worse. I want to get out of there. On the other hand I have a four bedroom apt that is in my name, with my other sister in the process of moving out, now this apt is in a crime infested neighborhood and is kind a far from my job, but the house is nice and clean and rent is dirt cheap. I want to move from where I am I can't stand it but I don't want to move in the area where my other place is, should I sweat it out until I save some more and find a place I want to go or should I move to the cheap area I already have and save up to move there. I want to move so bad I am willing to chain my self in my place because of the crime but I don't want to get stuck because of the rent. I reeally need some help and your opinion. Thank You

It's obvious that you need to talk to your brother and sister about the clean-up. Maybe you need to do some clean-up yourself. You even say you want to get out of there, but it doesn't seem like you've had much discussion with them.

With the other apartment, it might be cleaner and cheaper, but it might be less safe. It's better to be safe with a higher rent, I believe. However, if you can't fix the cleaning issue with your current housemates, you should move and save up for a new place.

Options galore,

Your current relationship with the family can easily be resolved if everybody is willing to accept that the current situation is not working

solutions there may include to commit to fix and clean together or pay into a pot to have it done by a third party or one of the family takes on the whole responsibility for pay or reduction in rent>

as far as you appartment in the crime invest area< if it is rented and represents a good cashflow< you may want to consider re_financing it and buy yourself another place

good luck

Put everything you value in storage, move into the cheap place, leave as cheaply as possible to save as much money as you can as fast as you can and then move to nice place.
