She's obviously a f*ucking prude. I mean come on, playboy is about as mellow as it gets. Buy it from a different store. Or just subscribe.

No, its not a form of harassment. Harassment would qualify if the cashier made lewd or rude comments to you while asking for the book, like "why do you need it your gay" or something along the lines of that.

When you buy Playboy it may arouse people to be judgmental because it is a book or erotica, maybe the cashier is against selling erotic material, maybe she dislikes publication of playboy, or maybe she wishes she was in the magazine. If you keep getting dirty looks from cashiers when buying this great magazine I would look into getting a yearly subscription by mail. Look for it on-line to get it at a discount rate or go to http://www.playboy.com, the magazine will come to your mailbox each month within a black package so that it is disguised for your confidentiality.

No, she's probably thinking you have no respect for women, have a porn addiction or are maybe a pervert of some sort. Ask yourself why you buy that garbage anyway. Why support an industry that is supporting the downgrading of women, feeding the growing porn addiction in this country and ruining lives? Don't believe me? Check out the facts for yourself. I'm glad the lady at the store looks at you funny, I wish more people would do that.

It's probably your over-active imagination. Sometimes we allow ourselves to focus on negative thought-patterns. When we do this, we trick our brain into believing what we want it to believe and think. And so what about what that woman thinks; that's her negativity reflecting onto you. Don't allow that person to rent space in your mind - you have healthier things to occupy your mind with. Life works out better that way. There are other ways to buy that magazine: (1.) Subscribe to it; (2.) Go to a News Stand - they normally have men as cashiers; (3.) Send someone else to buy it for you; (4.) Be brave and go where you normally go to buy it and if that woman continues to give you looks then ask her straight out if she has something to say to you.

Maybe she's a little immature...nothing wrong with purchasing a Playboy magazine. Save yourself the grief & subscribe to the magazine, you'll likely save a few dollars.

Maybe she wonders why you need it.
No, it's not harassment. Who cares? After all, she is working in an establishment that sells it. I mean, God is seeing you buy it too. Maybe you should only be concerned what he thinks.
