I have Windows XP, and recently my copy and paste functions have not been working. I right click to copy and then go to paste, and it hasnt copied the stuff. I've also tried crtl + c, and ctrl+v but thats not working either. Please help :-(

Download AVG anti-virus and scan your PC...

Here's a test to see whether the functions are working or not.
Type some big sentence in any text editor (notepad, word, wordpad, etc). Select the text by pressing Ctrl + A. Press Ctrl + X. If the text dissappears then there is nothing worng with the copy paste. Now Press Ctrl + V. If the text reappears, then what the hell is the problem? No Problem. They should work properly.
If when you press Ctrl + X or Ctrl + A and the text does not dissappear/get selected then maybe Stick Keys are enabled. Press the Shift key 5 to 6 times. Now try repeating the procedure. If the problem still presists, try rebooting. Or I dont' know. Sorry

There may be mistake in selecting the text.
Be careful and do not select the vacant space of the next line.Selection of text should be exact same.Watch carefully the pointer arrow

right click to copy, when you go to where you want to paste, right click on paste, then at the top click on Edit, click on paste and it will appear...
Why it does this i cannot explain. but this way works because I use it all the time.
