Find a naturopath (www.trinityschool.org) who can help you get to the root of the imbalance. A migraine is a symptom, not a disease. Medicines mask symptoms, not correct imbalances.

1. Calcium - 2,000mg daily - Magnesium 1,000mg daily
Minerals that help to regulate muscular tone and to transmit
nerve impulses throughout the body and to the brain. Use
chelated forms.
2. Coenzyme Q10 - 60mg daily
Increases blood flow to the brain and improves circulation.
3. Primrose Oil - As directed on label
An anti-inflammatory agent to keep the blood vessels from co
constricting.
4. Multi-vitamin and mineral formula - all nutrients are
necessary in balance.
5. Rutin - 200mg daily
Removes toxic metals, which may cause migraines.
Feverfew helps to alleviate pain. (do not take if pregnant)
Ginko biloba extract enhances cerebral circulation.
It is noted in my reference book that frequent use of over-the-counter painkillers may actually increase the likelihood of migraine attacks.
Hope this helps. Check out the reference book - it's great!

Hey let me first tellyou there is no preventing migranes. i have had migranes my entire life just about and I am 22 years old. I know since I was 6 or 7 years old. They suck and I feel sorry for anyone who has migranes. the best thing go in a quite dark room, no sound, no light, no one around. I eat 2 tylenol extra strength to help ease my headaches. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't depending on how bad your migranes are. I have heard alot of people say that excedrin really helps. Alieve is also good for pain. If not eat you a lortab and go lay down for a while, sometimes a hot shower or bath will ease it too. Hope I can be of some help. It sucks i know!

My boss used to have horrible migraines once a month that would put her in the hospital, but she started going to a chiropractor about 15 years ago, and now she only has them about once a year.
