There are like, 30 million tabloids out there. And if you think about it, there are regular people that have anorexia, it's not just Nicole Richie. And LOADS of people get cheated on, not just Jennifer Aniston. Any theories on exactly why we feel the need to know everything about celebrities?

C'mon, why not be nosey about the so called "beautiful people"? Their indiscretions are fed to us like baby food to an infant . . .and we gorge on it . . .
Can't you help but feel a little smug if one of the beautiful people is going through a tough time, and you're happy happy happy and NORMAL?
Its a sick fascination that perhaps makes the regular folks feel better about their lives?

We are curious about them and wish sometimes we can have there life or maybe because we find the actor or actress very attractive. Or maybe we love the movie they made. It's also a form of escape or maybe they inspire us to be the best we can be. Putting our attention to them makes us sometime forget our own problem.

well i'll tell you this they live the star, glamour life that most of us want to live. they have loads of money without having to bust their butts studying or working in office jobs... and with all that cash they invest it in royal living and great looks. So i would understand why people are interested in their way of living but i dont agree with every one trying to look like them or talk like them those people just have NO personalities.

People like reading about celebs having a hard time, it's more exciting. We don't wan't to hear about their great life and so on, but we wan't to hear about someone cheated etc.

People are celebrity obsessed because it helps them take their minds off their own problems and can make a convenient escape.

I blame the media, for forcing it down peoples throats. Not everyone cares about what these people go through.

trust me, i could care less, unless it has to do w/royals from EUROPE:)their lives are wayyyyyyyy better than these actors, not just the british royals, the royals from monaco, sweden, netherlands, google them :)
