When my kids were little and in bed, I'd take a long bath. I'd light candles, maybe bring in a drink (not necessarily wine, 'cos I didn't want to fall asleep) and just lie there for maybe 1/2 an hr. or so.
I'd try to clear my mind of all the everyday stresses and just relax.

Other ways to relax: find a good book and give yourself some time daily to read it; write in a journal about your life, hopes/dreams, etc.; find a favorite tv show and try not to miss it.

If your kids are old enough to be left home alone, then go somewhere you can get away for a little time (a local mall, park, wherever) and just enjoy being out on your own.

Hope you manage to accomplish this! We moms are the emotional center of our families and need that "me" time to recharge our batteries. Impossible to always be taking care of others and not remember to take care of ourselves!

I know the feeling I just had another baby in June. We're going to Jamaica next month to get away for a while without kids and just the two of us just for a little while. I am going insane!!!! Go on vacation stick kids with relatives!

Hire a babysitter and treat yourself to a day of pampering at a spa.........massage, facial, manicure, pedicure......you name it! It could be a day just for you.
