Well...it depends on the person really...but most of the time, its just cuz they think that..the more fun they have, the more they will have to compensate for it later on...like ditchin homework to go to a party or somethin like that... so, some prefer to get the homework over with first, becuz in the long run its more important to them than havin a good time for a few hours at a party. I guess thats one point of view, and another would be sayin that everyone needs a break or needs to do somethin stupid sometimes, so they go to the party and make up for the homework later on by stayin up or watever. There are lots of reasons why people are scared..the way people react to havin fun though does mostly come from their past experiences...if they actually had a good time durin all of the times they were out havin "fun", then they wont be as hesitant as a person whos only had sucky experiences everytime he or she has gone to a party. And another whole factor about fun is that, everyone has a different idea of what fun is...so sometimes the only reason they dont want to tag along is cuz the proposed activity just isnt as interesting to them.
