Please give a serious answer with facts. I do not want to hear that he sent your brother or uncle to his death in Iraq. I don't want to hear "because his interests aren't my interests." And I definitely don't want to read anything regarding Iraq oil and terrorists. Please follow those guidelines before answering. I really want a legitimate argument that does not involve those statements. Thanks!

They are upset because the economy did not stall as they predicted, that the unemployment rate did not balloon as they hoped, they forget every politician in Washington supported the war, and they are disappointed more soldiers aren't dying to prove the war is bad.

It's funny that the reason they are mad is because Bush isn't doing as poorly as they had hoped. Why would they "hope" the country suffers disasters just because the Democratic National Party couldn't deliver viable candidates? They should get used to disappointment because they party still has no strong candidate for 2008 and the weaklings that are there will decimate each other during the primaries.

It has been 6 years with the current President and I think that many (not all) who voted him are starting to turn in another direction. I find it hard to take him seriously. I remember Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush 1 and I didn't agree with them but I respected them. I can't say I ever "Hated" them, disagreed yes. Nixon knew how foreign policy worked, Ford knew how Washington worked, Reagan knew how to communicate, Bush 1 knew Washington as well. Bush 1 let the military fight the Gulf War and America gained some self-respect for all of us, which was great for this country. It's not so much as hate as it is just hard getting behind him as a leader. I'm giving you an honest answer; this is the first time in my life that I cannot support a president because I've always respected the office. In all honesty I wish he would do something to get me to change “my opinion” of him for the good of the country. I guess the elections are coming up and everyone will be slinging mud for the next two months. Perhaps in January 2007 we can start with a clean slate.

Quite simple really and it is not confined to GWB, but to the political parties as a whole. For the last few decades, we (the american people) have been conditioned by all forms of media that there is no middle ground - It's US or THEM. Add that to the "dumbing down of society" and presto - we no longer use logic, reason, truth, and discussion to form an opinion, but rely on what is fed to us by the machine.
What a recipie for intolerance the political machine has created. Contrary to what some beleive, the is little to no difference in either of the two main politcal parties. Until a vialbe third party arises, there will be no change only hate.

Because liberals are a bunch of p u s sies who refuse to stand up to evil in this world and believe that we can all just get along. Bush wants to make the world safer in the long term by wiping out terrorists now. I could go on and on about how liberals are weak when it comes to protecting this country and how the feel sympathy for terrorists (Bush just wants to eliminate them), but I don't have time to write an essay here.

Why did conservatives hate Clinton so much?

For the same reason: both sides are ideological dumbwits.

In order for them to feel good about themselves, liberals and conservatives need to prove the other side is wrong 100% of the time (Hannity being a good example, if Bush literally pooped on Condoleeza he would find a way to spin it), same with Franken on the liberal side, etc, etc.

Then you wonder why young people like us are sick of it. We want smart people, conservatives and liberals that can admit that sometimes the other side has better ideas.

Me, I'm a libertarian with a couple of conservative stances and an environmental conscience. Indeed, a maverick!

Well, with those conditions, regarding Iraq, terrorism, and oil, it's difficult to say why we hate Bush because those are some of the big ones... starting needless wars for personal profit... It isn't just about oil, either... it's about Halliburton making a ton of money rebuilding what we destroy, and about his friends in Lockheed Martin and United Defense, and other corporations, who are making a bunch of money destroying the things Halliburton is going to rebuild. And in addition, Bush is an oil man... Sorry to talk about it, but I will only say this about oil: Even though most of our oil comes from Bush's buddies in Texas, oil prices have skyrocketed due to the trouble they've caused in the Mideast. We elected an oil man for president and, look at that, oil prices go up.

Other reasons to hate him: He breaks constitutional law... signing statements were never part of the plan. If he has complaints, he has to veto the bill and send it back to congress requesting that they resolve his complaints on the bill before sending it back for his approval, or they have to override with a 2/3rds majority.

He became president because the Supreme Court made an unprecedented decision against voter intention, and in fact ordered that the recount be halted immediately while Bush was ahead, fearful that if they counted them all he might lose, which they later discovered to be true.

He wanted to create private social security accounts based on stock investments, which is the same thing that destroyed Enron employees' retirement funds and made the CEOs megarich.

Also, remember his original candidacy? He only had two talking points... No Child Left Behind, which was an absolute disaster, ask any teacher (go ahead, do you have kids? ask their teachers) and, in response to Gore's proposals, his only answer was "That's fuzzy math."

Also, after winning the first election through the corruption of the Courts, his party won him the second by creating voting standards in key states which required the use of voting machines, which due to their cost, were not available in poorer districts in sufficient numbers to make it easy for the people to vote. They were forced to wait in line for 8 to 12 hours in some places because of this, in my opinion, coordinated plan to disenfranchise them.

Come on, the "Fuzzy Math" candidate became the biggest threat to Constitutional law, democracy, the separation of church and state, world peace, the very existence of the middle class, and the well-being of the American people.

How could we not be upset?

Seriously I believe they hate because of the successful media sponsored propaganda of the socialists in the dem party.

Soros, MoveOn, Peter Lewis and others spent millions trying to install a socialist government in America under their control and failed. This started the hate bush thing and many in the dem party went along because of the politics of paranoia. The dems have become irrelevant in the political arena due to pandering to the extremists and socialists and they cannot stand it.

This link goes to an article which I think explains it pretty well.

Because he is a contradiction. He professes Christianity, being a uniter and a "compassionate" conservative. On the other hand he uses a character assassin like Karl Rove to run underhanded campaigns, and in general I see no humility from the man. No willingness to admit any errors he makes or no seeming willingness to look at any other viewpoints. His administration reeks of arrogance and the "I don't give a (expletive) about what anyone thinks" attitude. I don't respect that.

I'm guessing you don't want to hear those responsed because you've heard them time and time again. If that's enough of a reason here's another one: He's an idiot.

The guy speaks with the cadence and vocabulary of a grade-schooler. He refuses to change his mind on anything even after years of being proven wrong. He squints all the time. He's slow. He cannot separate his political duties from his religious beliefs. And so on and so on.

Why does it bother you so much that MANY people, Libs and Cons alike, don't care for the man? Isn't it obvious?

Conservatives / Repubs have silently been saying he's a crackpot ever since Katrina!

I love how the Cons are answering your question with name-calling.
Grow up, people.
