When exactly do Asian people teach their children to use chopsticks? I'm 30 years old and STILL can't master the use of them! lol Do little kids learn with a fork and spoon first or what?

actually they DO make training chopsticks for kids. I have seen them. the Chopsticks are actually attached together at the top. and the child has to learn how to hold them and squeeze them together. i guess once they get used to that part then they work up to the real thing. but yes they really do have training chopsticks.

It’s probable going to be a on an analogous time as previously he has sufficient dexterity, or great sufficient palms, to apply chopsticks the comparable way you do. yet with slightly MacGyver artwork, you may turn a pair of chopsticks into something he can use to %. up foodstuff. Take a ordinary pair of chopsticks, and wrap them jointly tightly with a rubber band some million/3 of how down from the great end. Insert slightly wedge suited next to the rubber band, on the ingredient closer to the factors, so as that the factors are compelled aside, and then positioned yet another rubber band on the different ingredient, in basic terms tight sufficient to hold the wedge in place. you additionally could make the wedge with the help of folding up somewhat paper, straw wrapper, and so on. this would turn the chopsticks right into a great pair of tweezers, much less complicated for little palms to function. This internet site has a image of the technique, besides as some hyperlinks and comments on coaching slightly older childrens to apply chopsticks.

I'm sure they learn as kids here in the US learn how to use a knife, fork and spoon. You give the utensils to them and they watch them being used. They will then try and emulate this behavior. With a lot of food throwing just for fun! They are crafty little beings! Kids are sponges. They are just waiting for an opportunity to learn anything. Kids everywhere.

Same as with any baby ,or for that manner--anybody. You have to start and repeat it (whatever) over and over til you "get it" down. Practice will continue to improve your "small motor skills" to the point where "it" becomes natural ,2nd nature to do. Plus you "hardwire" your brain(over time)and it becomes "set" as part of your makeup as a person. " Once you learn to ride a bicycle-- You"ll never forget ". Have a nice day.
