Nothing at all, as far as I'm concerned, when it is in an appropriate setting where others who do not wish to view or participate are around. How I would love it, an exhilarating feeling of freedom and oneness with nature and the earth, innocent, unashamed, unembarrassed, maybe a bit like the Garden of Eden.
It is not a perversion unless you want it to be, either in your own mind as you do it or in others as you object to it. It is not synonymous with exhibitionism. How many of us are nudists in private, but scamper for clothes when the doorbell rings or make sure our curtains and lighting do not permit our being seen? I have no desire to be naked in a clothed world, but given the chance, in the right setting, wheee!! off come the clothes!! It's an acceptance of ourselves and our bodies without shame and a psychological boost that tells us we're okay the way we are, less than perfect.
Nude in nature, in the wild, in solitude or only with willing fellow naturists, perhaps the woods, in a stream, in the desert, away from the crowds, away from the mores of the human world, connected with God and nature, what more soul-refreshing freedom could one ask for?
For what it's worth, I hope to be buried naked, the same way that I came into the world. A white linen sheet draped over all but my face and arms is all the covering that I request for my funeral and viewing. If somehow I manage to spend eternity in heaven, I certainly don't expect old human values to apply. Some persons have told me that where I will actually be going will be quite warm anyhow, so why bring along clothes?

Why do you think there is something wrong with naturism. There is nothing wrong with it at the appropriate time and place. It gives you a great sense of freedom and oneness with nature.
It is only when dirty old str8 men use naturism as a cover for their true intentions that it gets a bad name

Nothing is wrong with letting it all hang out as long as you aren't offending anyone, there is a tome and place for everything.

Of itself nothing. The only thing that detracts from it being beautiful is the physical state of some of the naturists (crass of me, I know).
Otherwise, I'm all for it.

fine, if you're comfortable with your body. My problem with it is how do explain to children that they must keep the drapes closed when they are nude because it offends the neighbors. It is hard to be relaxed when you have to be concerned about your neighbors all the time.
