No the blind guy is obviously not going to read it. The sign is for people who can see so that they will know that the blind guys dog is not just a pet, its a seeing eye dog. The blind guy already know his rights and knows that his dog is is allowed most places.

My absurd guess is that it has nothing to do with the blind people at all, but rather those of us that can see. God forbid a blind person brings in a seeing-eye dog and a person with sight brings in a pet and that person screams "discrimination" that it's not fair that that blind person can bring in THEIR "pet" and they can't. It's simply a sign the for the "common-sense impaired" .

Two possibilties
1. They would not allow any animals and a blind person who relies on a seeing eye dog or a deaf person who has a hearing ear dog complained when they were told their animal could not enter.
OR
2. Some idiot with a teacup poodle or a daschund or a chihuhua in her purse wanted to bring the dog in.

I find stupid signs everywhere. Like I went to the outback steak house and I had to go to the bathroom, and on the doors were signs that I didn't even understand, so I had to wait until someone came out of the bathroom to figure out which is the men's bathroom.

i always wonder how the hell do blind ppl know there is a sign in braille for them on a wall. do they just feel around hoping to find a sign that is in braille? if not they would have to have a person with sigt tell them it is there. and wouldn't it be easier if that sighted person just read it to them in the first place?

What about the handle on the fire exit that has braille writing on it? How's a blind guy gonna find the door in the first place?

The dumbest sign I've seen is on a door at the office of my insurance company. The sign on the door says "pull" and you definitely have to "push" to open the door!!

I guess it's there for the peopole who CAN see, so that they know they can't bring their dogs in. Which of course brings up the question who's the idiot that thinks I want his dog's fur flying all around & landing in my food?
