How would I know I'm 'As Thick As A Brick' and can only just 'Stand Up' while my 'Broadsword And The Beast' are 'Bursting Out'. Listen? is that 'Songs From The Wood' or 'Heavy Horses' I hear coming. 'A' all I know is 'I'm Too Old Too Rock n Roll: Too Young To Die'. But keep it 'Under Wraps' as I'm to busy 'Living In The Past' on my 'Rock Island'. Any way I guess 'This Was' no 'Benefit' to you, so I'm off for a 'Nightcap' and 'A Little Light Music' from my 'Minstrels In The Gallery'.
I think the answer to your question however is a bit of both!

Definitely a flute playing rock and roll maniac. Liked him since the 70's with Jethro Tull, finally got to see him live a few months ago, playing with an orchestra. Still rockin'

Characterized by Eric Burdon of the "Animals" fame, I see Ian as the "Noble, Fair, long-haired leaping gnome". Listen to his live version of "Flute Solo" (which I can send you if I get your email address) and you'll recognize the talent. I saw Tull live in Mannheim, GER back in the 80's....and still listen to them today...Too many favorites to list.

A friend of mine that is a really good flute player was impressed with his work, so I would have to think he's good from a technical standpoint. I like the music, so lets say he is good.
