During a night journey in a first class coupe' compartment of Southern Railways in India, I had only one co-passenger. Although a total stranger, he was chit-chatting with me and was very friendly. When our train was crossing a bridge over a river, he was narrating to me about a big train accident which had taken place on that bridge some years ago. He also told me about some haunting ghosts of the deceased in the accident. I politely told him that I did not believe in ghosts. But he seemed to be very convinced about the existence of ghosts. When I asked him what was the reason for his staunch belief, he said: " It is because I am one among them"; the next moment I saw him diving straight into the river below through the window of the compartment!
Bull ****!
I have spent two years in a single room in a college hostel. After my vacating the room in the final year I came to know that no body dared to stay in that room since a student had committed suicide in that room a few years back. In none of the nights or the days was I disturbed by any weird thing.
Also, I have stayed alone and slept alone nearly for six months in a house (when my wife was away in her mom's place for her delivery) where a servant maid had committed suicide by hanging before we took charge of the house. I haven't seen her ghost!

It was our first night at our new apt so my kids and I were tired and went to sleep laying next to each other on the center of living room floor which faced the front entry door, which I shut and locked myself before we layed down. Shortly after, when we all had our eyes closed and ready to sleep, we heard a howling-wind noise, and the front door flung open. We all layed for a minute and nudged each other becase we were all scared wondering if others were still awake to see it. I got up, to check there was no wind or breeze outside and shut the door. At the same apt, it reached temperatures of at least 110 degrees sometimes, which was unexplainable because it wasn't that hot outside. Also, there were times when we would hear clinking of pipes behind the walls throughout the apt, but we were unable to detect the exact location where it was coming, or from what it was coming from. I was convinced that apt was haunted, or spirits were at unrest, maybe something happened there. We didn't stay there long, and found out that previous tenant was only there a short time too because of those conditions. This is true story, from Reseda, CA.

A Handyman was outside of an old house on a scaffold cleaning up the remnets of a recent paint job. As he was cleaning he looked in the window (on the 3rd floor) and saw a beautiful woman dancing (like a waltz) in her Undergarments (Victorian Era). The man was shocked because he had been told the house was empty, so he got down and went and found the person in charge. After explaining the situation to the Head person they went together, opened the house and looked around...Nothing. As they left, they shut off lights, locked doors and set the alarm. The Supervisor left and the man went back to work at the same window. Once again he saw the beautiful lady. Now he is thinking that someone is playing a joke..so off he goes to the Super and again they go into the house, punching in the alarm code. Nothing, noone in any room. Again they leave, doing all they have done before..lights,locks,alarm. The Super goes back to work and the man climbs back on his scaffold after spending 15 mins checking that there is noone else around. As he gets to the window, he notices that it is slightly foggy...going closer he sees the beautiful, scantilty clad woman who is now standing DIRECTLY in front of the window frowning at him and wagging her finger. The poor man is so frightened that he screams and jumps over the side of the scaffold, hits the ground runs to his car and drives home leaving everything at the job. He calls his boss and tells him he quits...refusing to return to the house to retrieve his work items or his paycheck. To this day the poor man refuses to go anywhere near the house simply because of The Dancing Lady.

When I was six and had recently moved into a place, I was lying on the floor that night as my bed hadnt been sorted.. I woke up at 5:30am ish and went to take a sip of drink from a bottle that was next to where I was sleeping. I looked up at the open bedroom door (at six I was scared of the dark) and there was a man stood there, he was wearing like they do in the old Frost tv show episodes, and his face was completely blackened out.. He turned his head abit around the room (I was just actually frozen with fear.. I mean frozen too) and then walked out, by then I had managed to relise what was going on and I screamed, very very loudly, I saw him go down the stairs.. Then my aunt woke up and I explained what happened.. Throughout living in that house (I was only there some weekends) things would sound like it fell, but whenever it was checked nothing had... Years later, when I was around 12, my aunt told me she saw something just like what I had said about in the day time while she was unpacking.. Creepy times

Hello ,, i have a true story that i will share with you . I do investigations into pshycic happenings in my home town of Southend on Sea. I was asked to attend a Bridal shop where they had experianced various strange goings on . I met the owner of the shop , a very nice lady , but not at ease with the ghostly goings on.. Several nights later i arrived at the shop its was getting dark but not too dark where i could not see ..I brought my equiptment in and was arranging it in the various rooms that i wanted to investigate.. After several trips to the car and locking the door behind me i was all alone and realised how quiet it was within the shop!.. I had arrange the meters and cameras to pick up any movement all i needed to do was to conect them all to the electric.. By this time it was dark and the only sorce of light came from the lamp in the front of the shop.. I went to turn all the equiptment on, when all of a sudden there was a total power cut , but with the power cut came an unnervy stillness, and a chill in the air .I thumbled for my torch but was unable to find it . Whislt i was on my knees i noticed a faint light in the corner . From this light i could hear a gentle voice . it was a girls voice from where i was i could just make out , a girl of 6-7 years old she was very pretty and was smiling . I asked her if she could hear me and if she could tell me her name ? Again in a soft voice she replied her name was Emma and that Her and her mother had died in the shop many years ago.. With a wide grim she said she did not mean to upset anyone but loved to play with the dresses as she would have done if she had a dolly ..and would have dressed it .. I asked her to find the peace she needs and prayed for her safe transition over to the proper spirit world ... With those words as quick as the electric cut off the power returned and with that the girl dissapeared .. I was in floods of tears as this little girl had not meant to frighten anyone but just wanted to play dollies.. A few weeks passed and i returned to the shop , and since that wonderful night there has been no more dresses on the floor , but the stranges thing is the Shop owners name for the ghost before i had done any investagation there was little Em . Which was the shop owners Grandmothers name ..and since there has been a lovely smell of lilies

I've had a few though this one is the only scary one I've ever had.
I used to babysit the two kids of a relative of mine from time to time and one night I was there, from the moment I walked in the door I got a creeped out feeling. For some reason, in one part of her hallway I could smell this extremely nausiating smell, sort of sickly sweet and sharp. I asked her son (9 yrs old) if he could smell anything and he replied no.
A couple hours later I put him to bed and as I walked back down the hallway, I had the sudden sensation of someone watching me. Not two minutes went by when the little boy calls out to me asking if I could shut his bedroom window as his curtains were blowing all over the place. I walk to his window, pull back the blinds only to find that everything is locked up tight. I ask him if he was lying to me and he says no. I go back into the living room feeling not a little bit uneasy and watch tv for the next hour.
The time comes for me to check on the kids again (little girl was asleep before I got to the house) and as I approach the door to the girls room I get that hair raising "someones-watching-me" feeling again. I poke my head into both rooms, start back down the hall again and then I hear a whisper, clear as day, calling my name telling me to, "Come here ____, come here". I think maybe I've woken the boy up but he's still out cold and the little girl is only 2 yrs old so I know she wasn't the one calling. Needless to say I freak out, turn on every light in the house, turn the tv volume on super high and tuck myself into the corner of the couch waiting for my cousin to get home.
When she gets back an hour later I tell her what happened, walk her down the hallway and ask her if she can smell the odor which to me is so strong I have to cover my mouth. She couldn't smell anything either.
Usually I stayed at her house for the night, but this night, I just had to get out...I never babysat for her again.

I used to stay up at night, and each night I used to creep downstairs. One night I ventured into a room I had not been in before, and looked around. Then something caught my eye. There was an old table with a man sitting at it writing. I looked closely and couldn't work out who it was. Then he turned and looked directly at me. He said that he was trying to find an old will. I never told anyone about it, and he seemed to disappear, and that house was knocked down to make a new one, but he suddenly turned up in my room last night.
