Most major cities will naturally have a higher concentration of gays/lesbians. These cities all have neighborhoods known for gay/lesbian congregation. These neighborhoods are usually the same area of the city where most of the gay/lesbian night clubs and social hang outs are located. The areas as commonly known as Gay Ghettos.
Chicago
San Fransisco
LA
NYC
P-Town
Key West
Austin
Seatle
Toronto
D.C.
Asheville
Nashville
Louisville
Most major cities in just about every state.
With the exception of P-town and Eureka Springs, Ar.
Now Eureka Springs is quite unique as it lies directly in the Bible Belt and is surrounded by the Ozark Mountains. It's a beautiful Victorian town located on a mountainside. It's driving force is it's tourism and gift shops, mostly run by GLBT or Gay Allies. They actually celabrate TWO pride festivals, one more frequented by gay males and the other more frequented by lesbians.
It's newspaper was run by a gay man and his partner, until his retirement just two weeks ago, but it's still a very liveral leaning publication.

have more gay what?
If you're talking about gay people------ since we make up around 10% of the population any where in the world, the largest the number of people, the larger the number of gay people. There are pockets of the gay community around the country as in San Francisco and a number of large cities.

I really don't know about anywhere else other than the Chi-town where I live. I am more than positive that there are others, but this is the only one that I can speak on. Chi-town meaning Chicago.

lindyj - Provincetown, MA is a vacation destination, therefore the gay population that comes there is not its actual population.
As for the highest amount of gay population per capita you will find that Providence, RI and RI itself has the highest gay population per capita.

Plainfield, NJ, is becoming the gayest city in New Jersey. It also coincidentally (or maybe not...) used to be called the "QUEEN CITY."
