When I Was Young I Loved Video Games Just To WasteTiem But Now There So Borign Im 12 Now And There Really Boring And Have no Meaning Like Grand Theft Auto It Is About Killing PPl Does It Make Sense No. Good Luck=)

Depends on what you mean by no meaning in life...
I would classify myself as a hard core gamer, but since I am a homemaker, I do have the time to play :P. Smart gamers will usually go for games which have replay value (i.e the game can be played againm usually with some changes in scenario or character build etc, after one finishes with the game). And, not really surprisingly, games can be a medium to foster bonds for families and even friendship with others (especially with the multiplayer mode, or playing MMORPGs), and I have seen this happen.
Games can also be educational..e.g those that have some history for the background story (my son learned the meaning of despot simply by playing Civilization where one of the elements incorporated is despotism).
Of course, as in everything, there must be a balance, and one must be disciplined enough to know when one is addicted (aka spending too much time) ingame and forgetting about the real world.

An obsession is an obsession, whether it b video games, staying thin, overeating, being beautiful, it doesn't say that they have no meaning in life. We all have some meaning or we wouldn't be placed here. Their obsession might be the means to keep someone else from becoming obsessed with the same characteristics.

Some people spend their money on clothes or cigarettes or books or CDs or movies or cars and some people spend their money on video games. Just because YOU don't get it, doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. Nobody is asking you to spend your money on them, just as I'm not obliged to spend money on stuff I'm not interested in.
