Why do older women fall for younger men like in their teens?

I just read were a women had an affair with a boy who was like 16!! Not only that but my friend had a realtionship with a 32 year old women and he was like 16.

I am currently reading a book called "The Evolution of Desire" by David M. Buss, it's about evolutionary psychology and how our ancestral humans developed mating strategies and how we still display them today.

Here comes a long answer.

Women basically desire a man who is high in status, which comes in the form of wealth, being able to provide for woman and the family and other social concerns. Men who display their status are more desirable to potential mates, and therefore have their pick of available and, most importantly, desirable female.
Men basically desire a woman who displays promise of producing a child, which is hard to determine. However, ancestral men have discerned that women who are in child bearing years (more likely to conceive from 18-35) and display good health, nice skin, fit figure are the more desirable mates. This gives young, good looking women more power in choosing the most desirable male.

So, the theory is that since young males do not always have the status and power of older males required to gain the attention of the most desirable (younger) females; and since older women cannot always compete with the vitality and beauty of younger women to gain the attention of the most desirable males, this leaves the younger males and older women available to each other.

So... there ya go!
