It seems sickening to me that the longest vacation I've ever taken was 4 days long. Shouldn't it be mandatory that all hard-working people take a paid 2 week vacation (consecutive days) ?

My favorite vacation was just recently. It was mine and my husband's first real vacation since getting married three years ago. We took a 3 week roadtrip through Florida (we live in Colorado)...saw romantic St. Augustine, did the whole Disney experience and stayed in one of the deluxe resorts, and spent days at the beach (Caladesi Island near tampa was the most beautiful.) The longest vacay was with my parent's right before I got married...6 weeks exploring and backpacking all over the Blue Ridge Parkway. My dream vacay is to hopefully make it to Costa Rica sometime within the next couple of years. Travel is my favorite hobby of all time, so we spend most of our time saving all the paychecks we can so we can go places. Don't worry you'll get to go somewhere soon...save your $$$ and days off so you can go somewhere far away and very different. Trust me, there is nothing better for your soul than to get away from all things ordinary to your life.

Best vacation would have to be the month-long trip touring Europe with an all-Wyoming choir in high school. The next best would be my week long vacation to San Fransisco 2 years ago...I love that city!!! My hubby and I are planning a late honey-moon to Mexico...I can't wait!! I think a dream vacation would be one on a beach (alone) with no kids!!! :) Lord Bless...

Hi there...my best vacation so far has been an 11 day cruise to northern Europe from my parents for my college graduation present. I went to 6 different countries in 11 days...England, France, Holland, Germany, Norway, & Denmark. I absoutely loved the cruise (great food & entertainment and I loved the fact I only had to unpack once), and I loved the destinations. I got to go to Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, etc.
My next vacation is in April when i'll be going for 12 days to England, Scotland, and Ireland on an escorted tour from Trafalgar Tours. I'm hoping to convince my mom to come with me as she has never been overseas before. =)

my definition of vacation: a break from the "normal" day to day routine
longest....28 days on Magic Mountain
my best up until this moment.... a couple of weeks camping on Kauai OR a couple of days in TN (dinner with 2 amazing friends)
dream vacation...... 24 hours in Paris
