Do a search on the Web for a freeware package called UltraVNC.
It will allow you to remote control all of your computers. You just need the name or IP of the system you want to access once the software has been loaded. Only extra is if you're running a firewall you'll have to disable that specific port from being monitored.

There are a two types options that you might consider. Both have there pluses and minuses.
Option 1: Remote controle via a third party, hosted service:
Use logmein.com, gotmypc.com or mywebexpc.com to enable this connectivity. These folks require that you install a small piece of software on each computer, and register with them. When you want to remotely access your home, log into the web site from your college PC, and then follow the instructions. These work well, and are relatively secure. The downside is that they cost you a certain amount of money per month if used in a legit way. Also, if the hosted service is down or performing poorly, you'll have no/slow connection.
Option 2: Remote control via software on each PC and a point-to-point connection
This option can be done using free software, like VNC, www.realvnc.com/, or paid-for software like PC Anywhere (www.symantec.com). The downside of using them is that they require a bit more technical know how, and they can leave your PC vulnerable to attack if you are not careful.
The reason that you might use them is that there are no ongoing costs after you pay for the intial licenses, and they have a direct connection, which reduces the points of failure.
When installing this sort of software, make sure to install it "As a service" so that it starts even if your computer has rebooted and you have not yet logged in. The services in Option 1 above do not have this sort of capability.
The security issue is related to a few things. First, unless you configure the software correctly, the session will be unencrypted. This means that someone who felt like snooping and was capable of snooping could do so. The second security issue is probably more severe, and that is that there are malicious people on the Internet who sniff for people who are hosting PC Anywhere, VNC, etc. servers on the standard TCPIP ports. If they find such a server, they'll attempt to log in using randome user ID's and passwords. In order to keep these malicious users away from you, you might want to setup a very secure user id and password, as well as use non-standard ports (security by obscurity). A better option would be to install a VPN your home machine, and a VPN client on your college machine. This would be highly secure, but it definitely takes some work. Hamachi is a very good free VPN. (www.hamachi.cc)
Option 3: Setup an FTP server
Finally, if you don't need remote control, and just want to share files between the two machines, you can setup an FTP server. See the notes above about security in option #2 and proceed with caution.

If you want to be like your physically at your computer at home you want a VNC program; of which there a few. Don't forget that you would need to open the correct ports on your home router and wherever your mobil computer is you would need to make sure its not too restricted or at least find an open port.
There is currently no way to stream things from a home computer to a PSP since the psp can only decode mp4 files (which I guess isnt the limiting factor for the streaming). I do believe in Japan there is a wireless box you can use to stream tv to your psp; but I don't know too much about that and it depends on your firmware version.

I : The PC at your computer has to be connected to the internet at all times you control the PC.
II : In Start-> All Programs(NOTE:- Only in Win xp you can control remotely) click on Remote Assistance. Send an invite to your laptop (ie. your email id). Remote Assistance should be enabled to do this.
TO ENABLE REMOTE ASSISTANCE:
Right click My Computer -> Properties
GoTo the "Remote" Tab
Check the box next to "Allow Remote Assistance..."
Click Apply
Click OK
Then connect your notebook to the net. Open ur mail. Accept the invite and control the damn comp. Both comp should be accessing the net at that moment!!!

You can set up an Apache server to host the files you want, then get a DNS name for your home computer to access from your PSP. I have done something like this there is a guide somewhere on lifehacker.com.

If you have winxp Pro then right-click Mycomputer>remote>click allow users to connect remotely to this computer and then select the users bellow click apply and ok. Then you need to know your computer IP address(if you have a router at home you need to configure the port foward to the IP of your computer).
since you have dymanmic IP address you need a software that reports a change of IP by e-mail so that you know which IP you need to put on the remote computer.
If you don't have win xp pro just go to gotomypc.com
http://ezdns.com/ (remote software)

They would have to physically install a software like (e.g. team-viewer), initiate a active session in your absence, tweak the software when you come online so that you don't realize a session is in progress......other examples are using active exploits so called vulnerabilities in the operating system for which frame work can be downloaded (e.g...Metaexploit...)...knocking on ports to open a backdoor to your system. And last but not least Telneting into some of the well known active services (eg..SMB...)...............

you need a VPN (virtual private network0 which allows only you to cross the firewall (never turn this off) and enable file sharing @ the home computer, set up usergroup name/passord, etc.. try 'hamachi' for the vpn; was free, easy to config (0), and secure.
