I've never wished for a sunny day to end. I've never heard that song...who sings it?

Yes, and I LOVE that song. James Taylor..woohoo!
"but I always thought that I'd see you again" *sings*
also though, I kinda wish the sunny days WOULD end right now. I live in Texas, and it's HOT on "sunny days" and sometimes it seems they WILL never end. Sorry but I dont like the electric bill from having to run my a/c 24/7 due to it being 120 degrees outside.

Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone
Susanne the plans they made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
I just can't remember who to send it to
I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again
Won't you look down upon me, Jesus
You've got to help me make a stand
You've just got to see me through another day
My body's aching and my time is at hand
And I won't make it any other way
Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again
Been walking my mind to an easy time my back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground
Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you, baby, one more time again, now
Thought I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things coming my way this time around, now
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you fire and rain, now
SWEET BABY JAMES - gotta love it!

James Taylor - Fire and Rain
Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone
Susanne the plans they made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
I just can’t remember who to send it to I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain
I’ve seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I’ve seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I’d see you again
Won’t you look down upon me, jesus
You’ve got to help me make a stand
You’ve just got to see me through another day
My body’s aching and my time is at hand
And I won’t make it any other way
Oh, I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain
I’ve seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I’ve seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I’d see you again
Been walking my mind to an easy time my back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows it’ll turn your head around
Well, there’s hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things
To come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground
Oh, I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain
I’ve seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I’ve seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I’d see you, baby, one more time again, now
Thought I’d see you one more time again
There’s just a few things coming my way this time around, now
Thought I’d see you, thought I’d see you fire and rain, now

In the fall of 1982 I was staked to an ant hill on the Sahara desert with a slow stream of honey being drizzled over me. The sun beat down upon my naked brow and I thought the day would never end.

sunny days never end is possible. Coz one time I went to Norhern Europe very close to the North Pole. By the time the sun is almost setting at about 11pm, it came right back up and become sunny day time again, it was really cool :)

Love the song too! I see sunny days in the smiles of friends - even when it's cloudy outside

Yep, the day I got married. My wife and I married on a small, private beach on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It was just her, me, the minister, two witnesses and a photographer. We said our vows at 6AM, just as the sun was rising and, after our vows a small rainbow appeared in the sky (from a distant storm). The sun was shining, the sky was blue, the waves were rolling in, birds were waking up and singing, palm trees were waving in the salty morning breeze...
It was a magical day and I thought it would last forever. (Of course, life goes on at some point right?) We plan on renewing our vows there on our 5-10-15-20 year anniversary.

Darn right I have. It hasn't rained in Texas in over 36 days. It is sunny everyday here and I have had just about enough.

Oh yes. But then reality kicks in, and I have to keep that sunshine in my heart. The weather, other people, and anything else outside me does not have to influence my mood if I don't let it. Have a sunny day too!

Baby James Taylor, as he was known then, was mourning a lost love in this song.
She committed suicide in a treatment center he and she shared at one time.
She wasn't a lover per say, but a dearly regarded friend.
Listening and knowing that about the song, puts me to tears.
