Of course we are gullable to the media, it's our only source of information to whats going on in the world, without it we would have no sense of knowledge. Remember the media includes: T.V., Radio and Newspapers.
So, without any of theses sources what do you have to rely on.....

VERY much so...dumbing down of the country...folks rarely have a thought of their own anymore..an opinion of their own anymore, they have been spood fed extreme right and extreme left commentary on the TV..and they don't think past which side they choose to listen to - and they just re-verbage all the blah blah blah they hear on that crap both on the tv and radio (and they call that their OWN opinion...lol) - and it's a little like brain-washing. Those channels know who their target audiance is (which is the only reason they ARE extreme left and right..as the dumb sheep will come to the troth)..and the writers write what the audiance wants to hear and takes the stance on what the target audiance wants to hear - and it helps out the politicians and the big corporations by selling dish soap and Chevys and dogfood and whatever else they want to sell....Gullable?...absolutley. Not just to that but to music and fashion and everything...EVERYthing is spood fed in these days...dumbing down down downnnnnnnnnn.
LISTEN to what candidates are saying and then make up your OWN mind and don't listen to the talking heads on talk shows and radio...Are you not aware of what your own needs are in your own life and community? Go out and listen to independent artists as well as mainstream ones, turn off the tv once in awhile and visit an art gallery, pick up a book and read it - nothing wrong with taking others opinions into thought...but for gawd sakes...let it be another citizen and not someone reading scripted dialog for a network tv or radio show....People have no idea how to grow a thought or an opinion on their own without the media these days...what do you think folks did back in the days before tv and radio?...and truthfully there wasn't such an insidious campaign to dumb down the country with rheotoric until the last several decades...people were smarter back in our grandparents days as they had to listen to the candidates and then make up their own minds..ohhh their were editorial comments...but not the well packaged machine of the media we have today.

WAY to gullable. All it takes is for a man or woman sitting behnd a desk on TV for people to take it as fact. Local news could report that the sky is now purple, and over half the people would get up and look outside

They certainly are. They only report the bad things that happen. There are many good things they should be reporting. The media is the cause of more grief then good, most times. Find a group of soldiers and ask them how they feel about the news media people being with them out in the middle of the war.

I like to think that people are smarter than the media gives them credit for. People hopefully know by now that each news carrier leans left or right and has an agenda. There is not a true unbiased media whether tv or newspaper or whatever. Course I like Fox News but then everyone would yell, Conservitive!! Run Away!! But hey, that's just me :)

Certainly .. i mean they picture Islam as a terrorist cult .. while they don't see what america and isreal do in islamic countries .. from killing to mass murder to sexual assaults .. nobody can deny or forget what happened in U.S prisons in Iraq .. If us muslims did it ya'll won't let it slide .. but when america did it .. it's okay .. the have a veto vote ..so the real question is .. are we the terrorists .. or are they ?!
the media doesn't cover the whole story .. that's the problem !

As long as the public keeps watching CNN, MSNBC and Fox, yes. They are just propaganda channels for the current administration. Go to cursor.org and read what you want. Cheers!
