The money that is given to the poor, spent by the poor on goods and services actually goes back into your pocket did you realize this? The poor do buy your goods and services so they are helping out .
If you take it permantly, then they become working poor and then cannot afford to buy any goods or services.

Actually the cash and food stamp recipients usually pay more for goods and services, they shop in smaller neighborhood markets because of little or no transportation. The state run medical services are the worst, Dr. can be difficult to find that will accept the amount the state is willing to pay, although in many circumstances I understand that's being improved. I don't see any changes that would eliminate AFDC, but improvements are happening to aid these unfortunates into the working class, while maintaining some benefits. As far as single able bodied men and women are concerned, concessions need to be made to get them on their feet and off the dole.
