elaborate? are they being shredded to come out of depression? is the relationship been over for a couple of days? weeks? months?
if you just came out, don't, it is a result of hurt and anger. and any time you do something out of those type feelings, you usually end up regretting it!
if you want to bury the past and move on after a period of grieving(yeah that 's what it is that we do!) then maybe it may be ok. but could you not give them to a family member of his?
do they include you in the pic? yeah shred those in the second type scenario, hold off in the first type scenario.
good luck! hope this helps.

Nope...never shred pictures nor throw them away. Just put them up somewhere until you can look at them w/o feeling any pain or anger. THose are precious memories that will be gone forever if you shred them.

No don't shred them. Keep them and then someday give them to his family. You know possibly some of the photo's are the only ones ever taken of him. If you don't want them, give them to his family. Be Kind.

Store them until you are sure that you are never going to get back together. By that time you may have found someone else and you will be happy to get rid of them

If he is still your boyfriend then why would you do that?!?
If it's your Xbf then maybe keep one or two and get rid of the rest.
