having read the article i think she's bloody brave not only to do what she did at the time but to live with that guilt and now admit to burying the baby. no doubt there will be some people who will call the poor woman for her actions. people should keep there hurtful opinions to themselves

Yes, it was serialised from her autobiography (?) in one of the Sunday papers a few weeks ago. It was really a very sad story. She wasn't married and the baby's father dumped her when he found out she was pregnant and in the sixties there was quite a lot of stigma to being an unwed mother. She went into premature labour at about 6 months and had the baby who was stillborn. She must have been in a dreadful state emotionally, poor woman to have had all that happen to her.

She was on Richard & Judy and was quite upset.

It was back in 1964, the baby was stillborn at 5 and a half months and the shame of being a pregnant teenager meant she had more or less hidden the pregnancy. It sounds as if she did not know what to do next. I felt really sorry for her.

Poor woman. She always seemed so strong and confident on TV. I think its terrible that people are so judgemental. I was reading comments on this on 'the mail' on-line, some nasty woman really laid into her about this. Does anyone know when the tragedy was revealed?

That's awful , poor woman to have to go through something like that and all on her own as well. I would definately consider reading her autobiography , she has obviously been through a hell of a lot in her life.
