He felt proud that he had just written a song for 7-year-olds to squeak out on their saxophones and bassoons for years to come.
Sorry, that's all I can equate Ode to Joy with...practicing on my saxophone in 4th grade in my room...I could barely hold the instrument and pretty much drove my parents to insanity. To this day it's burned into my head as "the practice song".

I DONT KNOW ABOUT BEETHOVEN BUT NOT ALL MUSIC IS ART, AND MOVIES ARE NOT ALWAYS ARTISTIC EITHER. FILM HAS A DIFFERENT CONNOTATION.
