Calling Pro Wrestling 'fake' is NOT the right way to describe it.

As far as getting bumps, bruises, injuries, black eyes from a wrestling match.... that is real.

The only part that isnt real is that fact that the matches are 'pre-determined'.... meaning the matches were kind of planned in advance.

for example "Okay, well start off by pulling each other then you do this and then chuck me out of the ring. I'll make the crowed angry then you come out and throw me into the turnbuckle. Well do some more selling then I make a cheap shot when the ref wasnt looking and beat you up a bit. Then you make your comeback and finish me off with your signature... etcetc" A silly example... but quite accurate.

To end this... dont say 'fake'... call it an 'act' than anything. The difference between movies and wrestling is that wrestling only gets one take!!!!

It is a very physical act.... and the only way to get it into your heads is to find out yourself.... and most of you will be crying... I tell you the truth!!!

I hope this clears a few facts!!!

All the best!!!

Enough. It is SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT! Get it - entertainment! Which means the outcome is already known by the participates - gee just like a movie, a tv show, etc. It does not make it fake! It is there to entertain those that want to watch it. Just like a movie - we cheer for the good guy even though we know it is just a movie, we hope for the guy and girl to get together at the end - even though its a movie. IT IS ALL THERE TO JUST ENTERTAINMENT. We can take it or leave it and until the WWE gets better writers I have been leaving it more and more each week.

Even though the matches are choreographed, and the storylines are made up, the physicality and the pain is real. My husband used to wrestle, and the first thing he'd say to anybody who says wrestling is fake would be "Get in the ring and I'll show you how fake it is".

The outcome of the matches have been decided already the wrestlers just fill in the blanks as the match goes on. There are things that happen unexpectetly though such as injuries and interferences. It's all just entertainment no different from your favorite sitcom or drama on t.v.

The action is 100% fake. All matches are scripted, all matches are fixed to maximize suspense and attention.

nothing is really fake but it IS scripted. the chair shots are real, most of the punches are real and the blood is real. whether or not it was self inflicted or chair related is irrelevant.
