My nephew is turning 3. We are having his party at a planetarium, so we are looking for easy things to make with stars and planets. We have very little money. Help!

Buy some of those cheap foam sheets in different colors. Use cookie cutters to trace and cut out shapes of stars and moons, or you could pre-cut them so there is less to do at the planetarium. You could probably free-hand draw a rocket ship, or trace one out of a coloring book. Coat them with glue and sprinkle with glitter. You should be able to buy all this stuff for under $20.

If you have old metal coat hangers around and string this can be easy. Cut out diferently shaped items from any material you wish. Have them diferent colours and shpaes. You can also have colouring and decorating materials around. Then have the kids choose up to 10 items and have them decorate them. then hang them at different lengths off of the coat hangers and you have made space moblies!

i would take a whole bunch of blue balloons and colored paper and get them to cut out shapes and glue or tape them on the balloon and create there own planet....if you got the balloons filled with helium so they float it would be even more awesome.
