Because we can not agree. Take 10 people to Baskin Robins and they can't agree on one ice cream. How can we expect people to agree on politics, economics, religion, culture and resources. World peace is a nice dream, but it is only a dream

Basically there is no need of war. But since the birth of Human war is going on. Life is survival and for survival sometime war is needed.
Being a human being we are here for constructive purpose not for destructive purpose.
As you said we are all human being, if we accept it then there will be no war, no suffering, no hunger. We will start sharing everything. We will feel pain of other as it is ours. For that we have to change our thinking. But there is a politics going on behind all this. There are people they want domination and they won't let us to think as we are One or we are same human being.

Rather than settle disagreements between countries in a civil manner and sue one another in the World Court--they go to war.

Because we are human.
it would be nice if everybody think the same as you think, but then again human is so diversed. there would not be such a thing called eternity peace, because the law of nature is balanced(yin & yang, Black & white, heaven & hell, etc) . there will always someone out there who think the exact opposite of what are you thinking my friend.

I believe, there, is something more then our wish not to fight... I believe, since we are a part of visible and unvisible life, a war is a due to unvisible worlds, or the result of the major karma. .
