I am worried that my 21 month old daughter manifesting this symptom may have a massive reaction eventually.

get it checked, her gp can advise a simple test(done by a specialist) to see what she is exactly allergic to and how bad it is, also if it is bad they can give you the medicines she may require if she has a bad reaction

I have a 23month old daughter who has always had this same reaction. It seems worse with oranges and tomatos. My mum said I had the same thing when I was younger and it went away on its own eventually. However, I have been keeping a close eye on the condition with my daughter and it doesn't appear to be any worse. If it does get worse I'll take her to the doctors.

This is just what I'm doing with my daughter, you are obviously more concerned than I am so take her to the doctors if only to put your mind at rest - they wont ever say your wasting their time, especially for a wee one.
