I'm trying to get songs from limewire to windows media player to put on my mp3 but I keep getting popups that say that the file does not exsist. I'm pretty sure that at least one of them exsists. It's pretty frustrating, so please help? What do I do?

The first thing you need to do is find out where Limewire is putting your files so that you manually add them to Windows Media Player.

Open Limewire. On the toolbar at the top, click Tools then Options. Now click "Saving" on the side bar. At the top of the center window you will see "Folder" and a white box with an address in it.

It will look like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Shared

Write this down on or highlight it and copy it to the clipboard (CTRL-C)

Now, open Windows Media Player.

On the toolbar at the top, click "File" then "Add to library" then "Add folder..." In the box at the bottom of this window, type in the directory that you wrote down earlier (or paste it using CTRL-P if you copied it to the clipboard). Click OK.

WMP should now add the files that you have downloaded with Limewire to your Library. Click on the Library tab in Media Player and look for the songs there. If you can't find them, You will have to download them again.

I hope this helps.

Some possibilities (assuming of course that you are dealing with legal files, AND assuming this is not an iPod):

1. A lot of the files on music sharing systems are corrupt files, ads, trojans, etc. The more popular the music is, the more often this happens. Sometimes you can tell the scams by the file size or format.

2. There might be a flaw in your Limewire program or settings that is not really downloading the stuff. Can you use the desktop or Explorer see, move, rename, etc. the files once you download them? If not, they were not really downloaded.

3. If you can see and manipulate the files in step 2, but not see them or open them in Media Player, the problem is in that end. It may not be set up to see or play MP3, check the settings and make sure you have MP3s set up to see and play in Player.

4. You might want to think about either a new player (such as MusicMatch Jukebox) or a different P2P program, like BearShare to take care of this.

(1) go to limewire folder
(2) go to windows media player
(3) go to sync
(4) drag the song from the folder to the sync list on windows media player

(5) click start sync

You have to create a playlist in windows media. Search for the files they should be in shared documents on your PC. Once you create a playlist click burn in windows media.

First of all you need to learn what you are talking about. From the question you have asked, you seem not to know what an mp3 is. Try reading a manual, a book, maybe even a magazine. After you can tell why your question makes you look so ignorant, then maybe you can answer it yourself.

you dont need to put it in media player just to tranfer over to your mp3 player, once the song has downloaded right click on file then click on "send to" then click "removable hard drive"
