Yeah, after watching that movie, I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. Still, to this day I'm not sure. (Apparently I like it some, though, if I continue to watch it!) But I also pretty much need to have the subtitles on at all times because their accent is quite thick for me. But one of the things I do love about the film is the slang words like "Viddy" that I had never heard before. So just by all that I suppose I would have to say that I am more for the movie than I am against. :) (and hey, you can't say it isn't interesting at the very least!)

Yes, people really like the movie. I don't know that I'd go so far as to say it's a fun movie; it's quite disturbing. I had to see it twice before I "got it".
It (as does the book) brings up serious questions about what a good person is. Can a person truly be good if s/he is forced to be good? Does the elimination of choice eliminate our code of ethics? It's quite interesting.

It is one of the best movies ever.
And the MUSIC!!!
Imagine: No score — music. A thrilling movie, made
in the Seventies. At that time it was something like
science-fiction, but now all became true.
Isn't that frightening !!!
The droogies are unable to talk proper English
or American English, they still use baby-talk.... smashing!!!
This movie is still a MUST — also nowadays.

Lots of people like it including myself.
It was a well done well acted heavy and deep fantasy kind of movie that made you think and scared the hell out of you.
Less of a fantasy and more of an exploration into the dark side of modern societies.

Why? Strangely enough, probably for the same reason you asked this question. Because, it is still discussed, debated, and "shocks" people after 30+ years.

I actually like the movie because it is: funny, very well-made[as a lot of these older movies are], and it's stimulating to the mind.

Yes, It was thought provoking and I've always like Stanley Kubrik's films. It was very true in illustrating that perpetrators have more rights than victims.
