It played much better when I was younger, but it's still a very good movie.

It makes a lot of statements on a lot of things.

Teenage punks.

Gangs.

Gang rivalry.

Home invasion.

Gang leadership struggles.

THe school system

The prison system

What people will do or let be done to them to get out

What society will do to people

What politians will do to get PR

The movie never fully explained the title, which was the name of the book the husband of the woman Alex raped was writing. Even the book it was obscure, it must be some political or British thing from the late 1950s.

"I was cured!"

My favorite Kubrick film was and is (and it still plays well) Dr. Strangelove

i comprehend i have mastered the skill to stroll, talk and study. there is no longer something a lot left to earnings in those fields, and that i visit do all of it with comprehensive ease. would not advise I by no skill stub my toe, slur some words, or detect a sentence from time to time, yet i have reached a level the position it really is thoroughly causal. i'm no longer an olympic sprinter, or a public speaker, or a % reader -- those are all totally separate skills -- yet what I realized is a lot to get through existence. I by no skill ignore that the martial arts are noted as an paintings, no matter if it truly is an eastern interpretation, yet in the West this does have a purpose. An paintings couldn't be something you perfect. music, portray and sculpting all have close to countless skill, yet ranges of progression that you ought to "carry close" to get more desirable helpful. A black belt, as we've defined previously on right here, is about having a company information of the basics, or "All effortless moves and strategies, might want to be utilized with prolonged rigidity and ideal software in effortless blend." the major words right here might want to be "all effortless moves and strategies" and "prolonged rigidity and ideal software". i might want to assert there's a mastery of having realized the criteria and comprehend a thanks to positioned them to apply, basically no longer something further from the basics. i imagine human beings bypass slightly too far with the be conscious, utilising it regularly erroneously, even with the undeniable fact that the motive of comfortably and casually utilising what you've realized is what they're all implying. As for the martial arts as an entire, that i think isn't plausible, noticeably as an paintings.

Yeah, after watching that movie, I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. Still, to this day I'm not sure. (Apparently I like it some, though, if I continue to watch it!) But I also pretty much need to have the subtitles on at all times because their accent is quite thick for me. But one of the things I do love about the film is the slang words like "Viddy" that I had never heard before. So just by all that I suppose I would have to say that I am more for the movie than I am against. :) (and hey, you can't say it isn't interesting at the very least!)

Yes, people really like the movie. I don't know that I'd go so far as to say it's a fun movie; it's quite disturbing. I had to see it twice before I "got it".

It (as does the book) brings up serious questions about what a good person is. Can a person truly be good if s/he is forced to be good? Does the elimination of choice eliminate our code of ethics? It's quite interesting.

It is one of the best movies ever.
And the MUSIC!!!
Imagine: No score — music. A thrilling movie, made
in the Seventies. At that time it was something like
science-fiction, but now all became true.
Isn't that frightening !!!

The droogies are unable to talk proper English
or American English, they still use baby-talk.... smashing!!!

This movie is still a MUST — also nowadays.

Lots of people like it including myself.
It was a well done well acted heavy and deep fantasy kind of movie that made you think and scared the hell out of you.
Less of a fantasy and more of an exploration into the dark side of modern societies.

To answer your question, yes there are people that like this film.

Why? Strangely enough, probably for the same reason you asked this question. Because, it is still discussed, debated, and "shocks" people after 30+ years.

I actually like the movie because it is: funny, very well-made[as a lot of these older movies are], and it's stimulating to the mind.

Yes, It was thought provoking and I've always like Stanley Kubrik's films. It was very true in illustrating that perpetrators have more rights than victims.
