No. Islam is a faith of peace. The killing of innocents goes against the teachings of all religions. People should start to differentiate between true followers of a faith and those who twist those beliefs to further their own ideological, extremist ambitions.

No, of course not. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world, of which maybe a few thousand are extremists. That's even less than 1%.

There are extremists of all groups--we have right-wing Christians here, there are extremist Zionists in Israel, there are extremist Hindus in India (that have actually treated the Muslim minority there very badly, a little known fact), etc.

There are terrorist attacks in Northern Ireland. There are terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka by the Tamil Tigers. There are terrorist attacks here by people who have blown up abortion clinics. Or take Timonthy VcVeigh, for example. Hitler was a terrorist. Pol Pot in Cambodia was a terrorist. So to even say that all terrorists happen to be Muslim is also totally inaccurate.

It's just the media here wants to make Muslims out to be the bad guys--it'll sell papers and increase TV cooverage. Look at how biased Fox is, for instance. And may of us are totally buying into it. That's exactly what happened to the Japanese Americans during World War II.

Another interesting fact--why have the FBI/police been able to root out so potential cells, as in the UK? It's not through their own intelligence, folks. Members of the Muslim community are keeping a watchful eye and reporting suspicious activity to the police. Imagine how many freaks the Muslim community here and abroad may have already prevented from doing damage. We should be thanking the Muslim community. They are the unsung heroes in this situation.

Let's not be so gullible. It's easy to hate. It's much harder to think for ourselves.

The extremists are a threat. But how does one separate the extremists from the rest? There will always be those believe in the violent, hate-filled murder and martyrdom sections of the Koran, even hiding among the peaceful ones.

So, essentially, even a seemingly peaceful Muslim community can be considered to hold threats. That's not a good thing.

It's going to create problems and adversities between Muslims and non-Muslims.

It's not going to get better.

No. No more than I think fundamental Christians are a threat, although we seem to have one in the White House but no one says anything about that.
Would this question be acceptable if you replaced 'muslim' with 'women' or 'blacks'? The answer is obvious. You cannot blame a whole group of people for the lunacy of a few with a perverted view of their faith. Islam is far more important than that. Do we think that Muslims should judge us on the basis of what fundamentalist Christians did to them in the Holy Land during the crusades and condemn us wholesale? Of course not. They have the maturity to differentiate and, frankly, so should we.

A threat ? Certainly, to each other. Every day we hear about suicide bombers blowing themselves and women shopping at the markets to smithereens.
Muslims praying at the mosque are bombed by other Muslims. They seem to not care who they kill, killing is in season, so go out and get your limit.
Are they a threat to us ? Of course, being the number one nation in the world makes us a good target. A hunter gets a bigger "high" out of killing a bear than he does a rabbit.
Being able to kill, but have the protection of your people and government is a great incentive. And, of course, those seventy-two beautiful young virgins are really heaven to young guys who never say anything of a woman except a black shapeless form.

I think not only muslims are threat, and not all muslims are threat, do you think that Hitler was muslim he was not, but he was a big threat to humanity and even do you think that Bush is muslim, and i will not give my opinion about bush, I think the way we are is that some of us are good, and some of us are bad people, probably some people are trying to give a bad image of muslims, i knew muslim people they were very nice people, very warm and generous it doesn't mean that these crazy terrorist are not threat, but just to not confuse muslim people with terrorists

Unfortunately muslims are the only people that are killing and terrorising the rest of us.so yes i do think they are a threat. They are a severe threat to the peace of this world but i also feel that american and british foreign policy is also a threat to world peace because the usa want world domination

The threat comes from extremism, any extremism, not from a particular religion.

Usually the details of the actual belief are secondary. For example, extremist Christians and extremist Muslims believe almost all of the same things (all other faiths are wrong, God loves them above all others, it is okay to kill in God's name... even when the holy books say killing is a sin, dominance of men over women, etc).

Extremists interpret their religion to justify their beliefs.

I think that there are some Muslims that are a threat, just like there are other people of different religions that are a threat. I don't think, however, that these people should be grouped according to their religion, that type of thinking is the cause of wars.

Only in the news.
So far, this has been the honest observation as I have never actually witnessed one doing anything other than actually minding his own buisiness. Logic must not be thrown out the window as emotion and delusion rule.
No I don't think they are a threat.
I have come to observe that the majority of groups get labeled because of a small bunch of their leaders.
God forbid the world label us because of decisions that our leaders have made. We really all would be hated.
