I think youre fine. dont forget to get some light exercise and walks in. i hate to put it like this, but for some women their body is never the same after they give birth. i know a lady who was your size before and she got huge. be careful. stay hot!!!

The best thing to do is eat several small meals a day instead of 3 big meals. I was hungry pretty much all the time when I was pregnant and I found it helped a lot to eat 4 or 5 small meals. That way you don't feel like snacking so much. Having 3 big meals and snacking in between made me feel like I was eating too much. And try your best to eat as healthy as possible! I know that can be hard at times, but remembering the reason you are doing it really helps.

Ideal weight gain for a pregnancy is 25-30 lb. But since you were underweight to start with you will want to gain that extra lil bit of weight. When I got pregnant with my middle child I only weighed about 80lb. At delivery I weighted 180 or so. Lost most of it and got back down to an ideal weight for my height with a lil bit of excercise. You sound like your doin just fine hun, Youll start gaining more weight towards then end closer to 8 or 9 mo. is when the baby realy starts to gain weight. Here is where it all goes.

Your baby 6 1/2 to 9 lb.
Placenta 1 2/2 lb.
amniotic fluid 2 lb
breast enlargment 1-3 lb
uterus enlargment 2 lb
fat stores and muscle development 3 to 4 lb
increased blood volume 3 to 4 lb
increased fluid volume 2 to 3 lb

your first tri mester 1 to 2 lb per month
second tri mester 1/2 lb to 3/4 of a lb per week
third tri mester 1/4 lb to 1 lb. per week

I think you are fine, as long as the baby grows properly ( your doctor would know, but since you are not mentioning they're concerned I suppose everything is fine). I was normal weight, now I'm 38 weeks and I gained 20 lbs till now, I put on about 8 lbs between 30- 33 weeks, so I guess you'll catch up, don't worry :-)) And good luck!

you've gotten caffeine sparsely, a million or 2 beverages in line with day is wonderful. Alcohol is a no no. So are a lot of over-the-counter and prescription meds. in case you consume chilly lunch meats or the different prepackaged meats you have of project of having listeria, so warmth them up first in case you consume them. Sushi is a no no too, except you get products wherein each and all of the components are cooked. Peanut butter is wonderful, there is not any difficult scientific evidence that that's related to hypersensitive reactions in toddlers. additionally, attempt to no longer consume fish greater advantageous than two times or thrice each week, and huge fish like swordfish no greater advantageous than as quickly as a month. they are able to have severe stages of methylmercury.

Don't worry...if you werent eating enough you would know..your belly would growl or you may even feel dizzy..I only gained 20lbs throughout my pregnancy and my son is healthy..he was born at 7lbs 2.5 oz so its not about how much you consume as long as you eat healthy and when you are hungry...your doc would let you know if you werent gaining enough..keep up the good work..good luck :)

You should gain 28-40 pounds if you were underweight to start with.

You sound like you are on the right track.

If you need to gain more weight, your body will make you hungry and you will eat more. Don't starve yourself! Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll be fine. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned!
