My daughter is 25 months old. Her crib can convert into a toddler bed then into a twin size bed. She is now sleeping in the toddler version with one of those gates that you can insert under the mattress so she doesn't fall off. I'm wondering at what age can I convert her bed into a regular twin size bed but have another gate put on the other side of her bed. I hope this makes sense.

It's not an age thing, it's a size and maturity thing. You can convert the bed to a regular twin as soon as she is:

A) Mature enough to control herself as she sleeps (i.e. not fall off the bed)

B) Big enough that the toddler bed is too cramped for her.

My kids began sleeping in a twin size bed around age 3, possibly earlier. If you feel she's safe with being in a twin bed now with the side gate on, I would think its fine. I always worried about my kids falling off the bed too but it never happened.

My little girl went into a full size bed from a crib at about 13 months... she kept climbing out of a crib and I put her straight into a big bed. I think whenever you feel ready it will be time. Those bed rail things work very well! Good Luck!

This must be your first child if you are saying 25 months old. At 2 years she is still young enough to be in a toddler bed. We moved our into twin beds at around 3 yrs old or 36months (lol) you will know when she is ready.

Well, my son went into a "proper" single bed at about 3 and a half - without the gate at about 4. He was fine.

the exact same aspect exceeded off to me after I took my wee lady to infant communities............... the mum basically sat there yapping at the same time as her daughter became pulling and tugging and being slightly brat and my daughter did not comprehend what to do and were given disillusioned !!! I too informed the wee lady to end it and it became no longer sensible. i finished up no longer wanting to bypass decrease back because i gave the impression to be the basically one afflicted about my childs behaviour. i comprehend youngsters wrestle and do those sort of issues even with the undeniable fact that it really is the mum and dad duty to save a watch on them and prepare them precise from incorrect. I basically waited and positioned her right into a pre-college nursery at the same time as she became 2 for some hours two times a week. I basically couldn't take care of observing my daughter disillusioned and now i do not ought to because she's in a supervised enviroment that would not tollerate that sort of behaviour. that is slightly extreme priced yet fairly honestly worth the money.

I always feel that once they start climbing over the gates, its time. At least they won't fall from the extra height of the gates.

I would say she is ready now as long as she can climb easily onto and out of the bed.

Whenever she is comfortable with that. If there is no rush, ask her what she would like. A big bed may seem scary to her.
