Ear piercing???

Question

Okay so here is the 411, My parents finally agreed to take me to go get my ears peirced except dad doesnt know. Anyways my mom gave me a choice. I could go and get them done at the doctors or I could go to the Piercing pagoda. If I go to the piercing pagoda I can go today but if the doctors I will have to wait. I just need some help. I mean I am going to get it done but I don't know where. HELP!!!!!!!

Piercing Pagoda.. Hands down. They are great. And at most places you get free peircing when you buy earrings. And their earrings are really good. My friend wentto the doctors and the first thing they did was try to talk her out of it. At Piercing Pagoda they are wicked nice and helpful. Just make sure you clean them and follow the directions they give you. As for your dad, hell come around, he just might not want to think of you as "growing up" yet and once he sees them and sees how happy you are that you got them hell be better.

Neither! Go to a professional piercer, the girl at the piercing pagaoda has had maybe 3 hours of training verses 6 months to a year of traing that a professional piercer has had. If your only two choices are doctor or piercing pagoda then go to your doctor! Ear piercing guns are not sterile and can actually give you hepititus for which there is no cure! Ask your doctor if he uses sterile hollow one time use piercing needles... Ask what form of sterilization is used on the piercing equipment and jewelry.
go to yahoo and search for "the dangers of piercing guns" follow any one of the many links and read all about it. Discuss it with your doctor make sure they don''t use a piercing gun.

Neither is a particularly good option - both will likely use a gun to do the pierce, which brings up sterility issues and the issue of the wound itself.

I'd personally prefer a pro piercer and a needle pierce. But I'm guessing that's not an option just now, and as such, I would choose the doctor. (I'll spare the why needle pierces are better and more easily healed lecture) ;)

I have a set of gunned lobe pierces that my pediatrician mother did, and they had the normal issues that gunned pierces do, but finally healed up.

Keep them clean, keep your hands off. Wait til you're 18 and go to a pro. ;)

With the doctor you should not have to worry about infection as much as you would at Pagoda. I would pick the doctor - sorry you will have to wait - better for you!@

The piercing pagoda is just as good... every time I've gotten my ears pierced it's been somewhere like that and I've never had any problems.

Piercing Pagoda, i'm really happy 4 u that u're getting ur ears pierced, my parents got my ears pierced when i was 3. u have a much broader selection of jewelry if u get ur ears pierced.

Go to the doctor's. Sure, you may have to wait- but there's a chance that you could get an infection from getting a cheap piercing done. Doctor's are professionals.

i'm not sure why people think it's ok to get pierced at the mall...think about it....it's the mall...it's where you go for clothing and a cinnabon...not somewhere you want a person to give you a puncture wound.

i'd say go to a real piercer, that's your best bet. but if that's out of the question atleast go to the doctor.

you don't want some 15 year old girl with less than an hour of training to shove metal in you

I've gotten my ears pierced six times.And they were all at the piercing pagoda. Both my kids had theirs done there too.

get it at the peircing pagoda. doing it at the doctors will just might make it worse..since the pagoda will know how to deal with it better
