Hate for self produces hate for others. Once a person achieves happiness and peace with themselves, then they can love/like/tolerate (anything other than hate) others. I think, I am not sure but that's my guess (I am talking like I know what I am talking about.)

The differences between us are due to the body only. Yes, there are many different cultures, body color, ethnicities, etc. but underneath all of these, all of us, including the lower life forms are eternal, divine sparks of the Supreme Lord. We are all spirit soul, children of the Lord. When we forget that and think that we are the body, due to illusion, we fight over our "differences." So the cause of hate is our forgetfulness of our spiritual nature and our forgetfulness of God. This is the beginning of it.
For a person who has become self-realized, there is no hatred or envy for any creature. A person who knows his eternal spiritual nature can see the same spirit soul in all bodies, in all forms or species of life and therefore doesn't harm even an ant. So if we want to end racism, hatred, war, etc., the majority of human society has to become self-realized.
The Bhagavad-gita, especially the second chapter, gives a lot more info about this. You can check out an online edition here: http://www.krishna.com/e-books/ After reading this one you want a copy for yourself, let me know. I've got an extra.

When we are born we are pure. Our soul, mind and body everything is pure. But gradually we accept atmosphere in which we are grown. We learn good and bad both.
I am sure there are still people they care about others, their hearts and souls are pure. I can give you an example of Mother Teresa.
We are creation of God. People in front of us are creation of God. Do not look at their face look them as a soul. Soul is a part of God. And you will never hate anyone. Try it. Hatred and Racism is self made. Do not blame heart. Our part of body should be in our control.
There are some people they promote hatred and racism because behind that they have motive. But those who are wise do not follow that.
Hope this answer will help you

Ignorance breeding fear, which in turn breeds hatred. Especially with the current state of affairs in the world, it becomes incredibly convenient to make baseless assumptions about certain races and religions. Parents still teach children to hate.
It isn't only for racism; it's just happens to be that much easier to condemn than to understand. But where there is darkness, there is also a sliver of light - take comfort that hatred is a choice, and choice is always ours to make, so long as we don't allow fear - insidious as it is - to destoy all logic and sense.

There isn't. Hate is a product of anger. If one has no anger, there can be no hate. Racism is not hate, it is distrust of people not like yourself. This is born from the fear of the unknown. In a mild form this is healthy but taken to extremes it is bad. Violent racism is the result of conflict and competion.

I think it started off as a defense mechanism when the human race was just beginning. During those times, resources were scarce, and humans were in competition with the elements, animals, and other groups of humans. Because of this they had to protect themselves against the "others" who were not of their group, at that time it was literaly survival based. Times have changed significantly from the beginning of human time though, and this defense mechanism is no longer needed. Now we just have to educate and teach and expect tolerance from one another. We have the ability to do this, but it is difficult because we are hard wired to be a part of our group and to fear others in other groups. Ignorance is just going to cause more harm now than good. This is my opinion anyway.

Racism will always exist and, personally, I think it's something to be celebrated; but not in the way it's being used now. If racism were to be eradicated, all of the culture that the different races would be destroyed, too, because we're all "equal" and "the same." Wake up, we are not all "the same." We are different from one another, unique even. And that uniqueness is something to be cherished.
As for the hate, dude, you haven't even seen the tip of that iceberg....

There is so much hatred and racism because we are all sinful people and focus on ourselves rather than on other people. Acts of racism and hatred usually come out of fear--we often fear things we are unfamiliar with or don't understand. Racism is also perpetuated in books and on TV.

it's like a disease that's passed down.
i don't see why anyone educated or informed would knowingly dislike someone based on race.
it has to be taught through others.. a baby isn't born hating things. they learn to.
