Do you stop at a Hitchhiker and give him/her a drive? It is a big risk,cause you don't know what can happen.
I would give a drive,only if i really know the person.

No Way!!! There is no way I would ever pick up a hitchhiker. The world is way too dangerous these days.

It really depends.
If I'm driving on an interstate or something and there's a person standing next to a stranded car with steam pouring from it, an obvious flat tire, or holding a gas can... then yes, I'll stop.
I'm pretty observant, so if I've seen a stranded car within a mile or so on a busy highway and I come across someone with a gas can... then yeah, I'd stop then too. I've been there... it sucks having to go a long ways just to carry a can back to your car.
If it's just someone who is walking down a road for no aparrent reason... then no. If the person looks suspicious, or if there is a prison/mental ward near... then no (lol).

You know, I wouldn't pick up a hitchhiker.
BUT I was living in Minneapolis during the bus strike a few years ago, and I gave people rides..... there were college kids waiting at the bus stops protesting and so I picked them up and gave rides along the bus lines. I even took a few rides from strangers. It felt nice to help.

Well it depends. You must see the situation. I will stop if that guy tries to hitchhike in the rain. But of course, be prepared with a pepper spray or some kung fung moves!

If you're a girl, don't do it!
I know that you want to help but there are too many wierdos around to risk it. For a lot of males, the fact that you have stopped for them will be construed as an invitation to much more. You wouldn't have stopped if you didn't want it, would you?
I would say, take care even with people you 'know'.
And all of the above refers to girls too.

I would, cause I did a lot of hitchhiking when I was a schoolgirl. I am going to kind of return the favor.

I've died 37 times picking up hitchhikers. There's a movie loosely based on my experiences. Its a horror movie and they exaggerated it too much.

no not at all do I do it. I would love to help people out as much as possible but the way people are in this world today, I just pass by them that way i know I'm going home safely and with my car and money. you cant take chances like that anymore. its best not to do it.

I picked up a hitchiker once, I thought she was some poor stranded woman and I did what I would want another woman to do for me, turned out, she was a prostitute. Boy, did I feel silly.
