Just figure out what connection your new monitor requires - either VGA or DVI. Make sure you're computer has the appropriate jack and plug 'er in.

If the new monitor is DVI and you only have VGA you can buy an adaptor

Power down your system, disconnect your current monitor from your video card (or video controller if its on your motherboard). Twist the screws so that they are not connected, pull out the monitor cord, connect the new connector to where you disconnected the old monitor. Install any monitor software if needed.

Unscrew the connector from the back... switch in the new monitor, your computer will most likely detect the change. Right click on your desktop select properties, settings, and adjust your screen resolution if necessary.

just switch it out...if it tells you the resolution is wrong, put the old one back on, right click the desktop, and change the resolution to the highest and switch 'em out again...you wont have to install drivers or change anything else....

Unplug the old one, plug in the new one. Shouldn't be a problem.
