It's the second best movie ever, behind only Scarface (Pacino version). I probably watch Goodfellas once a month.
The best parts are:
1. The opening, after slamming the trunk, where Tony Bennett sings Rags to Riches as it transitions to Henry Hill's narration.
2. The Tommy scene with the "what's so funny about me?", done to death, but for a reason.
3. The close-in pan to Deniro's face with Sunshine of Your Love playing, and you glimpse into that moment when the decision is made to whack a guy.
etc, etc, etc - - pretty much the whole movie is solid from start to finish. If you like gangster movies, that is...

Goodfellas is a good movie, but not the best.
My favorite is the scene when the guys are eating at Joe Pesci's mother's house while Billy Bats is in the trunk.

I'm pretty sure Bob thinks Goodfellas is the best movie ever. Maybe Joe Pesci, too.

I knew someone was gonna ask this. This movie is in my top 3.
There are too many favorite parts to name, but I have one that always keeps me guessing. Was Jimmy sending Karen down the street for "dresses" or was he really gonna off her? I think he was going to off her. Lois is also one of my favorite unsung characters. It didn't matter if she called from the house; the copters were already flying.

No, but its one of my favorites, maybe my favorite gangster movie.
I saw the picture at the movies. The scene where Henry Hill (Ray Liota) is hopped up on Coke and paranoid, and he is being followed around by helicopters. I thought the heart in my own chest was going to explode. That was heavy!

One of the best, for sure.
I liked it when Karen cofronts Henry, in front of his friends, who was supposed to have had a date with her, but stood her up.
Funny.
Also like Joe Pesci's character with the pen in the bar after having been insulted.
I love all gangster movies.
Cool question

That is a good one...I like when he coked up driving around with the helicopter over him. I also like Blow with Johnny Depp and Heat with Al Pacino and Robert Deniro
