I thought I read somewhere that the driver or passenger windows could not be tinted.

In my state it is legal however we cannot go beyond a certain percentage of tint. If you guy's have to have vehicle inspection stickers every year then the best thing to do is call an inspection station and ask them!

NJ does car inspections - ask any inspection station what the minimum tint is if tinting is even allowed.

You are correct. You may want to be aware that there is reflective laws on tinting as well.

Also, New Jersey is an awesome state!

every state has different laws on tinting call a local tint shop and they can tell you your states percent maximums
